When the new, second-gen Audi A7 was first revealed, we were shocked at how it actually ended up looking better than its stunning predecessor. Immediately afterward, though, our thoughts turned toward future models, to cars like the upcoming S7 and RS7. Their added aggression will only make an already great design even better. So if you’re wondering what the angriest version, the Audi RS7, will look like, just check these new spy photos. (We don’t own them but see them here)
Seen here testing on the Nurburgring, the Audi RS7 is noticeably more aggressive than its standard A7 sibling. With most modern Audis, the half-baked ‘S’ model cars aren’t really much angrier looking than their standard ‘A’ counterparts, this new RS7 is markedly sportier.
It helps that it’s black on black, which looks menacing. But its larger front air intakes, slammed ride height and massive oval exhausts, the latter of which being a signature Audi Sport design cue, all combine to make it look positively furious. Having said that, it’s still incredibly sleek and seductive looking.
What’s interesting is that Audi is barely covering the RS7, with only some camouflage on the front air intakes. It will likely also get different wheels for the production car, as these are likely just for the test mule.
The Audi RS7 will likely be paired with a version of the same 4.0 liter twin-turbocharged V8 that powers the Porsche Panamera Turbo S. It’s said to make around 650 hp, which is more than all of its competitors, and there could even be a hybrid version that makes 700 hp. With that sort of power, the Audi RS7 will be one of the fastest, most dynamic cars in its class, with more power than both the new BMW M5 and Mercedes-AMG E63. It will also be the best looking.
